Connecting the existing vehicle fleet in Asia to the Internet-of-Things mostly requires interfacing with the ignition locks of rusting internal combustion engine motorcycles, far from the pristine electric vehicles, but in principal all can utilize the same modern and efficient microcontroller technology.

The challange is to create an open hardware stack that is relatively backward and forward compatible for both old combustion and newer electric vehicles and that can be later adapted to additional characteristics.
